Thank you for providing me with a good entry of quality dogs. From my entry today I believe that this breed is one of the strongest in terms of breed type, construction and fitness for purpose within the Gundog Group. Many of my placings could easily have been reversed on another day.
MPD(8, 1) 1 Brown &Davies' Gamebourne Dark Indulgence. Balanced solid liver clean neck and shoulders good feet, correct head, good angles, moved well. 2 Stammer's Barleyarch Billbug At Lochpointer. Liver and white, balanced, well angled, good head, strongly built, another good one, moved well. 3 Court's Ballyheige Burretiokentia.
PD (7) 1 Grant's Goodepoint Dipper. Super pup, very good front assembly, good head, correct length of body, well angled and moved well. Scored in neck and shoulders over second. 2 Roden & Woodland's Keigame Brown Sauce. Solid liver, short, good head and angles, moved well. 3 B Billbug At L.
JD (5, 1) 1 Rose & Hunt's Kavacanne Gale Force Wind. Nice boy, refined, good balance and well angulated. Clean shoulders, moved well. Excellent head and expression. 2 K Brown Sauce. 3 Pearson's Ladyhawke Sultan.
UGD (5, 1) 1 Serpa & Griffiths' Barleyarch Trumpeter. Really liked this boy, excellent type, clean outline, well constructed, great head properties, moved very well. 2 K Gale Force Wind. 3 Scott's Starry Midnight.
GD (7) 1 Young & Booth's Keigame Goldsmith. Well balanced and of correct size. Good head, clean shoulders, good topline, good forequarters, moved well. 2 Jones' Barleyarch Drummer. Tidy dog of top size, reasonable forequarters, good head, good topline with short back and moved reasonably. 3 Cure's Hillanhi Snow Storm.
PGD (3) 1 Tudor's My Little Old Man At Brocador. Nice type, clean and refined, correct size. Good head, reasonable forechest, moved well. 2 Rusk's Marrans Lanson At Booton. Strongly built dog rather wilful. Strong head, well muscled moved well when settled. 3 Hughes' Sonnenberg Sealion.
LD (7, 1) 1 Potter's Ivoravon Storm Ina T'cup. Strongly build solid liver, balanced outline, good head, clean neck and shoulders, good topline, good quarters and moved well. 2 Thompson's Redmires High Society. Balanced dog with a very nice head, good forechest, nice size, clean outline, moved well. 3 Graham's Winterwell Jelly Belly With Nyliram.
OD (5, 1) Super class. 1 Adams & Elrington's Sh Ch Barleyarch Alvar. Stunning dog on top form today. Great breed type, aristocratic, fully mature dog commanded the ring with great presence and superb free flowing movement. Obviously excellent confirmation to allow him to move so freely, in superb condition and muscletone, a great partnership with his handler. Delighted to have the opportunity to judge him and award him CC and BOB. 2 Drysdale's Ch Barleyarch Farthing At Drysika. Another superb dog with excellent breed type, free easy mover and so close up to first. A thrill to judge such wonderful dogs. RCC. 3 Mervyn's Ir Sh Ch Barleyarch Blue Riband At Tomanipoint.
VD (2) 1 Smith & Reardon's Jennaline Hugh Dunnit. Strongly made 8 years old in excellent condition with good head, forechest and topline, strong loin and well angled rear. Moved with power and drive. 2 Potter's Ivoravon Snow Storm. Another strong well made boy of eight and a half years. Good forechest, slightly longer than first, but quality all through.
MPB(8, 1) 1 Heath's Barleyarch Ladybird At Pinseeker. Fabulous! Liver and white, balanced, good angles and topline, short coupled, moved beautifully just fell in love with her, outstanding type and balance. This was the one that I would take home today. BP and RCC. And I really did consider for the CC. 2 Gain & Dixon's Kavacanne A Vimto. Clean outline, balanced fabulous head, neck and shoulders a little long but did not detract, good angles and moved well. 3 Desombre's Barleyarch Springtail At Braneath.
PB (2) 1 Morton's Goodepoint Eiderdown. Balanced bitch with good head and shoulders, good length of neck into well laid shoulders, good forechest and strong body, moved well. 2 Kowles, Glen & Malcolm's Wilholme Sharp N Smart At Bessalone. Clean outline standing, head needs to break, did not move so well today.
JB (3, 2) 1 Rose's Kavacanne Blowin A Gale. Nicely balanced girl, good head and neck into clean shoulders, good front and rear and moved well. Liked her a lot.
UGB (4/1) 1 Arkley's Indijazz Show Girl. Balanced with a nice head. Handler does not get best from her standing but she moved well which won her the class. 2 Brown's Redmires Kate Moss. Balanced outline nice head, reasonable angles but a little bum high at the moment and needs to strengthen in rear.
GB (3, 2) 1 Brown's Barleyarch Tigernut At Graygees. Alone but full of quality. Lovely head, good neck and shoulders and first class front and rear, correct topline held on the move. Liked her a lot.
PGB (8, 1) 1 LIndridge's Amidala La Nina. Feminine bitch nice size, good head and ears. Good length of neck into clean shoulders, balanced and well angled. Moved with style. 2 Harris' Barleyarch Peanut. Quality bitch and pretty much same remarks apply, very close up to first. 3 Morton's Goosepoint Beluga.
LB (10, 3) 1 Towns & Lay's Indijazz Truly Scrumptious. Solid liver bitch, balanced with a nice head. Good forechest and well angled front and rear. Correct level topline, moved well. 2 Drysdale's Barleyarch Tracker At Drysika. Good head and clean neck and shoulders, well balanced with good fore and rear quarters, moved well. 3 Taylor's Hillanhi Isabelle.
OB (6, 1) 1 Harris' Sh Ch Barleyarch Piper. Fabulous bitch refined and aristocratic but with substance required for work. Beautiful head and expression, she flowed from neck to tail both standing and moving. Good depth of body and in great condition. Absolute pleasure to watch her power around the ring and delighted to award her CC. 2 Rose's Sh Ch/Neth Ch Kavacanne Toff Talk. Feminine, balanced bitch of good type, good head, clean neck and well angled. Moved well. 3 Lindridge's Amidala Elara.
VB (3) 1 Gardiner's Kilnrae Gretel. Well constructed ten and a half years, balanced with good angles and very sound. Moved well and did not look her age. Credit to her owner. 2 Brown's Montalba Millie Chillum. Sound bitch almost 8 years had good balance and construction, moved well. 3 Attwood & Turner's Patterscourt Sukianna.
