Three Counties
Judge - Mrs Jane Eyeington (meadowdale)
I would like to thank the committee for their kind invitation to judge at this fabulous show and venue. To the exhibitors for the super entry, and for braving the searing sun of the day. I had some really super dogs to judge.
Puppy Dog (4,0)
1. Mr & Mrs Mann - Valger Quorum
Smart 11 month old dog, still very much a baby and needing to fill out but he is showing early promise and a moderate yet shapely outline. He has a good length of foreface and a nicely shaped backskull, giving a really kind and gentle expression. He has enough depth for his age, and holds a lovely firm topline and is short in the back. When moving he showed good drive from the rear, just a tad wider in front today
2. Miss & Mr Rose - Kavacanne Morgan It Seems
Another nice youngster of 11 months, who was close up to winner and I am sure they will swap places many times. He has a pleasing head, just needing eyes to darken a tad. He has a well developed body for his age and shown in a lovely jacket. Moving out OK
3. Mrs & Miss Burford - Kavacanne Morgan You Know
Junior Dog (5,2)
1. Mr & Mrs Mervyn - Torranipoint Celtic Knight CW15 CJW15 Jun Ch
Sturdy solid liver dog, who at 15 months has super bone and substance all through. He has a very smart and stylish outline, quite imposing when stood, but for me perhaps a little too much length to his hindquarters. That said, he is a very striking dog that stood out. He is well developed through the body showing good depth of brisket , forechest, and spring to the ribs. Showing good scope on the move
2. Mrs Trow & Mrs Jowsey - Winterwell Mr Hobbs
Liver & White 15 month old dog, not quite the substance and bone of winner, a more elegant sort altogether. Liked him for his overall size and he is shown is super condition. A little too refined in the head for me, but a kind expression. He has good depth and a pleasing width to the thigh
3. Mr & Mrs Reilly - Smilek Idyllic Idwal
Graduate Dog (2,1)
1. Mrs Bennett - Barleyarch Firefly
Stood alone in this class, but liked this dog for his overall size and balance. Nothing is overdone but he has a shapely outline. He has a lovely leanness to his head giving a noble look to him. Chest has good depth and a straight front, hindquarters are well angulated. Would have preferred a slightly lower tail carriage, but his movement was true and steady.
Post Graduate Dog (7,0)
1. Mrs Stammer - Barleyarch Billbug At Lochpointer
Not a big lad, but found his outline when stood to be pleasing and workman like. He is not overdone in anyway being more moderate all through. Found his head to be appealing, as it was well proportioned and with the slight roman nose. He has a good length to the neck, depth of brisket and a firm short back. He used his well muscled rear to drive around the ring, he was at times a bit of a handful but even his silly antics did not hide his movement!
2. Mrs Pearson - Ladyhawke Sultan
Similar sort of stamp to the winner, liked him for his outline when stood. He has a well shaped head, with good length and depth to the foreface and a kind eye. His brisket is down to the elbow and held a firm and muscular topine both stood and on the move. Found him to be short backed and stood well over his ground, another moving well
3. MS Brown & Mr Davies - Gamebourne Dark Indulgence
Limit Dog (11,2)
1. Mr , Mr & Mrs Lisle - Barleyarch Rolex
Now this dog knows how to impress, he has an imposing outline that shouts look at me. He is up to size, but so in proportion. He has plenty of substance and I wouldn’t want any more, yet he has the required touch of elegance due to his flowing lines, which makes him so appealing. He has a balanced head, super depth of brisket and forechest, a firm topline and lovely hindquarters. On the move he showed positive footfall and enthusiasm. He pushed hard for the CC, but today had to settle for RCC
2. Mrs Grant - Goosepoint Dipper From Stairfoot
This young dog catches the eye. A dog of good type and shown with a super dark harsh coat that gleams. He has more refinement to him than my winner and when stood he has a clean and muscular outline. He has a pleasing head,a strong and lengthy neck, which flowed well into a firm topline and a good bend to the stifle. Moving out well just not quite as clean in front.
3. Mrs Serpa & Mr Griffiths - Barleyarch Trumpeter
Open Dog ( 6,0)
1. Mr & Mrs Drysdale - Ch Barleyarch Farthing At Drysika JW ShCM
This 4 year old dog just oozes quality and style. He is all male without being overdone. When stood he has an impressive solid and muscular outline, so beautifully put together. Thought him to have a lovely head piece, with a good length to the foreface and dark eye to give the kind and gentle expression, that I so love about the breed. He excels in depth and forechest combined with good bone. He has a pleasing tail set and carriage and is more moderate in rear angulation. Shown in superb muscular condition and on the move he is a pleasure to watch, so true both fore and aft with good drive, delighted to award him the CC
2. Mrs Harris - Am Grand Ch Vjk-myst Goes Like The Wind Of Barleyarch (Imp USA)
A lovely young dog, hard to believe he is not yet 2 years old, not quite the maturity of the winners. He is of a different stamp to the winner, being a little more refined all through. When stood, this dog has a most impressive outline, I loved his body proportions, which showed good depth and a short back coupled with a well bent stifle giving the desired ‘standing over plenty of ground’ appearance. And he can certainly move with some drive
3. Mrs Malin - Sh Ch Heathermark Irish At Benrae ShCM
Puppy Bitch (2,0)
1. Mrs & Mrs Hayes - Valger Quartz In Elfrindew
This 11 month old bitch, sister to the puppy dog winner, is proving herself to be a real showgirl. A quality puppy showing lots of promise. Her happy and outgoing nature shone through. When stood she presented a lovely balanced and shapely outline. She has a pleasing head which is well proportioned, a clean strong neck, super depth and ribbing, short backed with lovely hind quarters. On the move she was a little loose in front, I am sure that will tighten with time, but she has super drive from behind and is lovely to watch in profile. BP and nice to see her shortlisted to last 7 in Puppy Group
2. Miss Lindridge - Amidala Fast and Furious
At 8 months old this flashily marked bitch is giving away a lot in maturity to the winner. At the moment she is looking a little more rangy. Liked her balanced head piece, she has a clean neck of good length, enough depth for age, holding a firm topline with nicely angulated hind quarters. Not quite as coordinated on the move, but show good driving action
Junior Bitch (9,2)
1. Mr & Mrs Mervyn - Torranipoint Schumacher CJW15 Jun Ch
This youngster caught my eye and at only 15 months old this bitch shows great maturity, she has a super body to her. Her head is in balance with good length and depth, eye is still to darken. Lovely arched neck with depth and substance to the body. She is well boned with well knuckled feet, short backed with a good rear end. Her handler got the best out of her on the move as she flowed around the ring
2. Mr & Mrs Hopkins - Seasham Dancing Queen
16 month old, not as forward in development as the winner, but time will be her friend. A bitch made on slightly more refined lines, and so very feminine. Liked her for her overall size and clean graceful outline. She is certainly maturing along the right lines. At the moment looks a little longer in body, enough depth for age, with a well turned stifle. She is a sound and happy mover
3. Mrs Chandler - Koolwaters Ritz
Graduate Bitch (7,2)
1. Ms Whitehouse - Kazanpaul Creme de la Creme
I was rather taken with this 18 month old bitch, she has a lovely smart and appealing outline when stood. Liked her size, substance and type. She is a solidly built bitch yet has grace about her. She has a feminine head with good length. Pleasing depth and spring to the ribcage, her topline is firm and she is short coupled. Liked that she carried her full tail well. She also has a well turned stifle and ample width to the thigh. Shown in super gleaming coat of the correct texture.
2. Mrs Salter - Kavacanne A Sprite
Another nice youngster, again of a nice size and pleasing shape in profile. Thought her to be well proportioned when stacked perhaps a shade longer in back than the winner. She has a lovely elegance to her but with good bone and chest well let down. She is shown in gleaming jacket of good quality.
3. Mr & Mrs Gardiner - Malmelsa Flirty Fleuri
Post Graduate Bitch (8,3)
1. Mrs Hinchliff - Goosepoint Eiderdown
A 2 year old bitch who won the class for her flowing and driving movement. She has a little more length to her but still well proportioned. She has an appealing head which is well proportioned, clean and muscular neck flowing well into her well held topline. She has moderate hindquarters which were showing good muscle tone and her coat is of a good harsh texture.
2. Miss Tait - Benboee Bring It On
Such a shame this 22 month old bitch did not have her happy head on today. On the move she did not hold her shape as she seemed a little worried about something. When stood I loved her overall shape, she has all the correct attributes. She has depth to the ribcage with a good spring, short coupled and nicely angulated
3. Mrs Heath - Barleyarch Ladybird At Pinseeker
Limit Bitch (13,3)
1. Ms Elrington - Barleyarch Beetle At Tequesta
This bitch was showing great maturity at only 20 months old, but easily holding her own in the class. Liked her, for her overall size and stature. She is a pleasing bitch to go over, all flowing nicely, she is soundly built and of lovely type. There is nothing exaggerated about her, but she is very shapely, with a lovely deep brisket and ample forechest, short backed and a good width to the thigh. She has a super dark and harsh texture to her coat. Showing drive and reach on the move. All in all a lovely young bitch.
2. Mr & Mrs Mann - Valger Phoebe JW
A solid liver bitch who is coming up 3 years old, of a slightly smaller frame than the winner, but again showing elegance combined with substance. She has a lovely balanced outline when stood. She has the leanness to the head and good length of foreface giving a typical expression. She has a clean neck with a straight front with a slight slope to the pastern. Firm topline and nicely angulated rear. Moved soundly just a tad wider in front that the winner
3. Mr & Mrs Drysdale - Barleyarch Tracker At Drysika
Open Bitch (14,2)
1. Mrs Squire - Sh Ch Taftazini Wilshee Wyn Too JW
This was an amazing class packed with lots of super bitches, where I wish I had a fist full of CC’s to award. My winner was a stunning 2 year old who has quality in abundance. For me she just oozed femininity and breed type. She is a lovely size, with good substance and bone, but not overdone, just right and well proportioned. I just loved her balance and construction, everything flows cleanly and neatly. Her head is balanced with good length to the foreface and a gentle expression. Plenty of depth to the brisket and an admirable forechest, short backed, firm topline, and a super backend with width to the thigh and a good bend of stifle. She had a correct tail set and carriage. Her coat was harsh to the touch. On the move she just flowed, an effortless gait with a good length to the stride. Delighted to award her CC & BOB
2. Mrs Harris - Sh Ch Barleyarch Piper JW
Another cracking bitch, just thought she was super, so elegant and sophisticated a real noble look to her. As with all dogs from this kennel, she has a lovely long and lean head and such a kind expression. She is well constructed all through combining substance with refinement. She holds a firm topline and good tail carriage with good depth and well muscled hind quarters. On the move she has precise and positive footfall. No hesitation to award the RCC
3. Mrs & Miss Taylor - Koolwaters On Moonlight Bay At Pelenrise JW ShCM
