I would like to congratulate the GSPC for finding such a brilliant venue and for organising the day in a very professional manner.  Particular thanks to my stewards who kept things moving efficiently.

Minor Puppy Dog (1). 1 Warrington & Schooling’s Stairfoot Serpentine at Zakova. Promising pup, well balanced head, good strong neck. Best of upper arm, deep ribcage, short strong loin. Well bent hind quarters. Sound on the move. 2 Stammer’s Barleyarch Billbug at Lochpointer. Promising pup. Balanced head, good neck and shoulders. Excellent hind quarters which he used well when moving. Preferred his topline to the winner but not as good in coat. 3 Brown & Davies’ Gamebourne Dark Indulgence

Puppy Dog (6). 1 Court’s Ballyheige Burretiokentia. What a happy chap, never stopped wagging his tail. Loved his head, good eye correct ears and strong muscular slightly arched neck. Good shoulders, deep ribcage strong muscular hind quarters. Moved soundly and with an easy stride. Excellent tail carriage BPD. 2 Stammer’s Barleyarch Billbug at Lochpointer. 3 Rusk’s Booton Calvades.

Junior Dog (3). 1 Whiting’s Ranger Two Rodale. Loved the outline of this dog, oozes quality. Good head with very little stop and noble expression Strong  muscular but elegant neck. Best of shoulders and upper arm. Deep ribs and short strong muscular loin flowing to well made hindquarters. Good profile movement. Pressed hard in the challenge. 2 Pearson’s Ladyhawk Sultan. Smart outline, good strong neck, well made front and rear. Strong compact body. Preferred head and tail set of the winner. 3 Grant’s Goosepoint Dipper from Stairfoot.

Yearling Dog (2). 1 Pearson’s Ladyhawk Sultan. 2 Cure’s Hillanhi Snowstorm. Best of heads, Good neck and shoulders, good feet. Strong body leading to well bent hindquarters. Just lacked any sparkle.

Novice Dog (1). 1 Scott’s Starry Midnight. 15 months, nice type of dog. Good eyes and ears, a little short in foreface. Good neck and front assembly. Deep rib cage, strong loin. Excellent bone and coat. Strong well muscled hindquarters.

Graduate Dog (2). 1 Pearson’s Ladyhawk Sultan. 2 Yound & Booth’s Keigame Goldsmith. Good head on this dog, but a bit wide when moving. Good outline and profile movement.

Post Graduate Dog (3,1). 1 Duncan’s Kavacanne Hun Toint Retreve. Easy winner of this class. Good dark eye, well made neck and shoulders. Good bone and feet, deep well sprung ribcage and short strong loin linking to well muscled hindquarters. Moved well. 2 Rusk’s Marann’s Lanson at Booton. Constructed well but quite a houndy head. Not as balanced as the winner.

Limit Dog (8). 1 Flaherty & Reddyhough’s Isara Kurzhaar Weiser JW ShCM. What a great class! Loved this dog, very flashy and screaming GSP.Classy head with dark well shaped eye. Clean muscular long neck flowing to well constructed front standing on good feet. Good body shape, muscular loin. Strong hindquarters with low set hocks Moved very well with an easy powerful stride. Just lacked the maturity of the CC winner, but I’m sure his day will come. RCC. 2 Malin’s Heathermark Irish at Benrae ShCM. Another cracking dog. Excellent head, good shoulders , bone and feet., Short body, Strong loin, well made muscular hindquarters. Moved very well on an easy sound stride. 3 Hayes Arkangarth Mud Dauber.

Open Dog (5). 1 Graham’s Sh Ch Winterwell Jelly Belly. Another quality class. Well balanced mature male. Strong, powerful but still graceful and with an intelligent expression. Strong muzzle, dark eye, long slightly arched neck flowing onto long well laid shoulder. Good length of upper arm. Tight feet. Deep well sprung ribs , short loin. Strong well muscled and constructed hind quarters with low hocks which he used to move effortlessly. Very pleased to award him CC and BIS. 2 Mann & Roden’s Sh Ch Valger Nearco from Keigame JW. Really good mature quality male. Liked his head and overall outline, excellent body. Moved very well but sadly out of coat. 3 Drysdale’s Sh Ch Barleyarch Farthing at Drysika.

Veteran Dog (3). 1 Tait’s Benboee Bachata JW. Very smart liver & white. Best of heads showing good eye shape and colour. Strong muzzle. Good neck., deep strong body. Well made front and rear just flowed from top to bottom. Excellent bone and feet. OK moving. 2 Stedman’s Indijazz Grand Designer. Built on smaller lines. Pleasing head with good balance and deep flews. Strong body and well made hindquarters. Moved well. 3 Duncan’s Sh Ch Magregor Pukka JW ShCM.

Special Veteran Dog (1). 1 Roden’s Sh Ch Barleyarch Cricket at Keigame JW ShCM. 12 years old but moved as well as any. Best of heads sitting on long strong neck, well constructed front and rear. Excellent bone and feet. Strong broad loin. Moved so well. Quality dog. Best Veteran in Show.

Field Trial Dog (2). 1 Wright’s Ch Crumleigh Magic Max. Very typey dog, no mistaking what breed he is. Liked his head, shoulders and excellent upper arm. Good bone and feet. Well made body and hindquarters. Moved very well. 2 Dymond’s Friarsbelle Marsh Mellow. Nice dog. Liked his head, neck and body and overall shape. Moved well in profile but a bit wide in front.

Minor Puppy Bitch (7). 1 Roden’s High High Jingle Bells at Keigame. What a lovely class of quality pups. I was splitting hairs between the top few. This bitch has a very classy clean outline. Balanced head, strong long neck, deep ribs. Well constructed front and rear, well muscled for a youngster. Moved very well. One to watch. 2 Whitehouse’s Kazanpaul Crème de la Crème. Another quality pup but not as mature as the winner. Liked her balanced head, eye and neck. Well made front and rear. Moved very well. 3 Ellis’ Soellis Dirty Gertie.

Puppy Bitch (10,2). 1 Cox’s Cushatlaw Irresistible. The Future of the breed looks bright if these pups are anything to go by. Just loved everything about this pup from the moment she entered the ring. Oozes quality, good colour, coat and typical outline. Noble head. Tight feet. Clean long neck, good ribs, and short strong loin. Well muscled excellent hind quarters standing over plenty of ground. Moved true, easy and with no effort. BPIS. 2 Roden’s High High Jingle Bells at Keigame. 3 Drew’s Cushatlaw Illustrious.

Junior Bitch (6,1). 1 Cox’s Swinsty Thruscross Spangler. Smart sound moving bitch. Liked her outline, good head with noble expression. Well made throughout. Best of movers. 2 Arrowsmith’s Fleetapple Thyme. Stood she looked like my winner but she was not as positive on the move. Good head neck and well laid shoulder. Good bone and feet. Strong loin, well made hindquarters. 3 Drew’s Cushatlaw Illustrious.

Yearling Bitch (4). 1 Staley’s Jomeel Kissantell. A substantial bitch. Best of heads, intelligent eye. Clean long neck leading to well laid shoulders and upper arm. Good bone and feet. Good body and strong hindquarters with low hocks. Good coat. Moved well. 2 Cox’s Swinsty Thruscross Spangler. 3 Duncan’s Kavacanne Gail Storm.

Novice Bitch (6,1). 1 Roden High High Jingle Bells at Keigame. 2 Hallam’s Peersofdales Ranging Girl to Redic. Liked this bitch’s outline and positive easy movement. Would like a little longer foreface. 3 Tait’s Benboee Bring it On.

Graduate Bitch (4). 1 Haran’s Magregor Fluffernutter. Stylish bitch, well up to size. Flowed from tip of nose to the end of her tail. Good balanced head with dark eye. Long elegant but strong neck, well constructed front and rear. Low hocks which she used to move with ease. Obviously likes her food, but must have a bright future. 2 Rose’s Kavacanne Blowin a Gale.  Excellent head and expression. Well constructed and muscled.  Does not stand over as much ground as the winner. 3 Cox’s Swinsty Thruscross Spangler.

Post Graduate Bitch (3). 1 Hinchliff’s Goosepoint Beluga. Won this class on her excellent head. Good eye shape giving intelligent expression.  Clean neck, well made front and body. Strong loin. 2 Nixon’s Quintana Hollie Berry. Best of outline, clean neck, well laid shoulders, good bone and feet. Strong muscular loin. Well made hind quarters.  Moved well. 3 Rusk’s Booton Yvette.

Mid Limit Bitch (3). 1 Lockett’s Winterwell Bobby Dazzler of Fayemm JW.  Quality class, nice to have to split hairs between all three. This bitch won on head, quality outline and ground coverage. Good upper arm, correct bone, good mature body, strong over her loin. Well made hindquarters. Stood over plenty of ground. 2 Pearson’s Ladyhawk California Star JW. Very smart bitch. Well constructed, deep strong body. Well muscled and moved well particularly when going away. Pushed very hard. 3 Davison’s Te Anau at Sirlita.

Limit Bitch (9,3). 1 Squire’s Taftazini Wilshee Wyn Too. Very smart, stylish bitch. Loved her head. Good neck, well laid shoulder, good bone and feet. Short strong body, strong muscular loin. Strong hindquarters with low hocks. Best of movers Pleased to award her the RCC. 2 Rumney’s Kacela Sweet Kanzi JW. On the move looked excellent but tended to U neck when stood. Pleasing head ,good eye, clean elegant neck. Well made all through. Positive easy mover. 3 Nixon’s Quintana Quixotic.

Open Bitch (6,1). 1 Harris’ Sh Ch Barleyarch Piper JW. Lovely class. Stylish head, good eye shape. Clean neck shoulder and upper arm. Deep chest, short muscular body, well muscled and made hindquarters. Moved soundly and with ease. Preferred her front and coat. CC & RBIS. 2 Halbert’s Sh Ch Valger Odessaat Marimay. I really liked this bitch and she pushed very hard. Loved her low hocks, outline and attitude. Good head and expression. Moved very well up and down  and in profile holding a strong topline. 3 Trow’s Sh Ch Winterwell Tootsie Roll JW ShCM.

Veteran Bitch (2). 1 Jowsey & Trow’s Sh Ch Winterwell Miss Tique.  Really seemed to be enjoying her day out. Loved her classy head, clean long neck. Well laid shoulder and good length of upper arm. Deep body, short strong loin. Well muscled hindquarters with low hocks. Good profile movement. 2 Hinchliff’s Ch Stairfoot Sandgoose.  Balanced head, strong neck, well laid shoulder. Good bone and feet. Good mover but just not as well made hindquarters as the winner.

Special Veteran Bitch (1). 1 Whitehouse’s Sh Ch Keigame Precious. 12 year old. Classic head, good eye shape and noble expression. Good length of neck. Well made front and rear. Good bone and feet. Moved like the best!

Field Trial Bitch (5,1). 1 Nixon’s Quintana Quixotic. Old fashioned total GSP. Mature, substance and style. Liked her head and she moved soundly. 2 Nixon’s Quintana Hollie Berry. 3 Davison’s Sirilta Solitaire.
