Border Union

What a wonderful day the competitors gave me at the show, with an excellent entry of top quality dogs & many close decisions. Another day, another show, many will change places. I thought my BOB quite outstanding & was delighted to see she took G2. She so reminded me of Inchmarlo dogs of the past, elegant with plenty of bone, but still feminine. She moved extremely well. The RBCC was so very typical, feminine in all departments, shown to perfection, this was one of the many hard decisions of the day.

My DCC winner also was outstanding. Masculine but with no sense of coarseness, standing over plenty of ground he exuded quality. His movement was to die for, a striking jacket completed the picture. RDCC was also very typical, elegant beautiful head with kind expression, his movement not quite up to the winner.

PD (5) 1 Mann’s Valger Quorum, almost 12 months old, presented a very complete picture, typical of this kennel, compact, good head, beautiful topline held on the move, moved very well, though one so young, expertly shown. BP, delighted to see him take PG2; 2 Rose’s Kavacanne Morgan It Seems, a most handsome young man, 8 months old with everything in its place. Flashy lovely head, good shoulders & tailset, well shown; 3 Smith & Reardon’s Winterwell Fowl Play.

JD (4) 1 Trow & Jowsey’s Winterwell Mr Hobbs, good movement won this boy the class. Nice make & shape, would prefer him to be a bit stronger in the head but he has time on his side; 2 Milligan’s Jessophia’s Oberyn Martell, thought this would be my winner, but 1 had a better topline. Gorgeous head, striking jacket, he moved very well; 3 Black’s Angiedale Rivellino Lad at Brandycrag.

ND (4) 1 V Quorum; 2 K Morgan It Seems; 3 A Rivellino Lad at B.

PGD (5) 1 Cooke & Hammond’s Seasham Super Trouper, nice compact dog, moved well & kept a good topline, beautiful head & kind expression, long neck, good turn of stifle; 2 Pearson’s Ladyhawke Sultan, smaller type, very flashy, all there & put together nicely but had a gay tail; 3 Stammer’s Barleyarch Billbug at Lochpointer.

LD (7,2a) 1 Gatliffe’s Allezweck Shamrock, two beautiful dogs, with a hard decision. 1 very typy & well muscled, GSP stamped all over him. RCC; 2 Whiting’s Ranger Two Rodale, a very upstanding dog. Somewhat bigger than 1, he had tremendous ring presence, good movement, kind head, looked so much better in line up when handler didn’t hang on to his tail; 3 Dymond’s Friarsbelle Marsh Mellow.

OD (7) 1 Flaherty & Reddyhough’s Sh Ch Isara Kurzhaar Wieser. CC; 2 Wright’s Ch Crumleigh Magic Max, all masculine GSP of old fashioned type, loved him, well muscled, he didn’t have quite the flow of 1, but nevertheless an excellent example of the breed; 3 Thompson’s Redmires High Society. VD (1) 1 Bliss’ Keigame The Charmer, 9 year old solid liver dog, shown in good condition, good type, moved OK. BV.

PB (9) 1 Lindridge’s Amidala Fast And Furious, what a little star, 9 months & very showy, lovely feminine head, moved well for one so young, should have a bright future; 2 Haran & Waddell’s Magregor Shneeball, another very striking youngster, daughter of my BOB, she has all her mother’s attributes & doubtless will make a name for herself in future; 3 Hayes’ Valger Quartz in Elfrindew.

JB (4) 1 A Fast And Furious; 2 Stopforth’s Smilek Sleeping at Tal-Y-Llyn, very similar to 1, very feminine, pretty head, good length of neck, great angles & mover; 3 Stewart & Currie’s Winterwell Dominique at Levagrad. NB (4) 1 A Fast And Furious; 2 Chandler’s Koolwaters Ritz.

PGB (7,3) 1 Cox’s Cushatlaw Irresistable, what a happy dog, her tail didn’t stop wagging from the moment she came into the ring. Correct in all departments she moved well; 2 Burford’s Pingarypoint Hot Topic, pretty head, great topline, close decision between the two, 1 just moved better; 3 Tait’s Benboee Bring It On.

LB (13,2) 1 Haran & Waddell’s Magregor Fluffernutter. CC & BOB; 2 Lockett’s Winterwell Bobbie Dazzler of Fayemm, such a lovely bitch, so well shown, she was unlucky to meet 1 in such a good class, her day will come, this was an excellent class & all the bitches will change places many times I’m sure; 3 Elrington’s Barleyarch Beetle at Tequesta.

OB (9,2) 1 Harris’ Sh Ch Barleyarch Piper. RCC; 2 Squire’s Sh Ch Taftazini Wilshee Wyn Too, screams GSP when you look at her, again easily could have taken top spot. Hair splitting decision in this class, with all the dogs worthy of their places; 3 Trow’s Sh Ch Winterwell Tootsie Roll. VB (1) 1 Cox’s Cushatlaw Honey Pie, at almost 8 years old she was of nice type & moved very freely.
